Junior just started attending daily playgroup in the morning so breakfast have to be kept simple for me to prepare and easy (fast) for him to eat. This morning he had french toast with pear and a dollop of maple syrup.

Basic French Toast Recipe

  2. Dip bread into mixture.
  3. Heat a little oil in pan. Cook bread till brown on both sides.

Haha, I made French Toast too on Sunday. My version is a bit different though, I melted butter and add it into the mixture, and also added brown sugar into the mixture, no cinnamon. Since butter was already added into the mixture, I don't have to add cooking oil in pan.

Sometimes I'll fry with butter instead of oil. I'll try adding it to the batter next time. If it's for myself, I'll sprinkle brown sugar on the toast.. yum.. but for him, no sugar till he's older.
