#59 Pasta Bolognese

Being a stay home mum, I've to constantly think of activities for my boy, partly to let him learn but mostly to keep him out of mischief. I bought this craft book, Look what you can make with paper plates, on amazon and I find it really useful and the crafts are simple and easy to make.

This was what we made. We did all the painting in the morning and left them to dry, and carried on to make the binoculars after his afternoon nap. Jr did all the painting, colouring and sticking. I was very proud that he was able to concentrate throughout the process.

Initially he didn't quite understand that it's a "frog" binoculars. To him, it's just 2 tubes that he can look through, thus he held the binoc upside down. Took me some explanations, hopping around with the binoc to my face to get him to understand.

Lunch on this day was pasta bolognese with sliced cheese.

Oh!! That sound like a really fun craft book! And I really like your idea of cutting the cheese into number shapes :) I may 'steal' this idea someday. hehe. Where did you get the cutters to do this?

Very cute paper bino! I have lots of toilet rolls and I am thinking of how to use them in crafts. Will try this out soon.

And the pasta bolognese looks so yummy. Is it home-made sauce?

Yes, it's homemade. Recipe from Annabel Karmel.
