#61 Pancake Duckie
Chanced upon a DIY shop holding a closing-down sale and bought a duck-shaped fried egg mold for only $1!! Tho' it meant for molding fried egg, I used it for pancakes instead. Today's breakfast is a duckie pancake with cheese. Strawberries and golden kiwi on the side.
I've never liked kiwifruit since young as I seem to have a mild allergy to it. But recently, I learnt through Restaurant City (a Facebook game), that kiwi has more vitamin C then orange! (Another knowledge I gained from RC game was kiwifruit is also known as Chinese gooseberry.. LOL.. There's learning in everything!)
Anyway, kiwifruit is rich in vitamin C, E and A, potassium, omega-3 fatty acid and best of all, it has a mild laxative effects. Jr tends to get constipated so I hope this fruit can help him move things along easier.
This weekend, I went kiwi crazy and bought 3 punnets of kiwi! Zespri Green Kiwifruit, Zespri Gold Kiwifruit and organic Zespri Gold Kiwifruit. Then I did a sweetness test (and thankfully didn't get any allergic reaction!) by trying out all 3 types at same time.
Verdict? You get what you pay for. The sweetest was the Organic Gold, followed by Gold then the green was so sooouuur.

you're the best!
Haha.. Thanks!
oh, very informative!
Next time I shall go for the organic one (have never tried that before!)
:)
Nice duckie by the way ;p
Paige, actually both yellow kiwi are sweet. I feel that unless you eat them at the same time like I did, else there's not much diff.
Thanks for popping by my blog! Wow love the duckie! Cool idea =)
love the duckie! and many of your creation with kid's meal.
