#75 Another simple lunch

A very simple yet nutritious lunch of udon in miso soup. Sides include homemade pork balls, potato, carrot and kombu.

Homemade pork balls reminds me of my granny. I love the pork balls that she makes and although she has taught me (verbally) how to make them, they never quite taste the same. I suspect it's the way she form the balls. The meatballs are tender yet won't break apart when cooked. Mine are too 'compact'. Takes more practices.

This meal is so quick to put together. First cook 1 portion of udon, drain and leave them in a bowl. Boil about 500ml of water, add sliced carrot and potato cubes into boiling water to cook till soft. Then, add a tablespoon of miso paste and stir. Add in pork balls and dried kombu. Cook for 5 minutes and wahla! It's done!
