We reached nearly an hour early and because it was really hot, we decided to wait under the shades till the event starts. Fortunately we did so cos the seats started to fill up very quickly, despite it being a weekday, even floor space was occupied. Mama was feeling so proud of herself for getting a 'prime' spot for her son to listen to an award winning story-telling session BUT boy was I disappointed. Junior paid attention only for the 1st 10 minutes and started to fidget and wanna run off. I really don't blame him, I find the session to be quite uninteresting too. It was too wordy and the teller was rushing thru' her words at a very monotonously high-pitch voice. The half-puppet was made of the body of a puppet and the head of a performer. Due to this, the movement of the puppet was very restricted, she even dropped her props and the story teller had to pick it up for her. Overall, it was not engaging at all. It'd be much better if it's not so wordy and with songs (and dance?) added in. Anyway, we waited for an hour for this and left slightly 10 minutes after the event started.
This is the bento snack prepared for Junior. Cheese cake teddy, fresh grapes and yogurt drops.
