#66 Tamagoyaki and Prawns bento

Last weekend we brought Jr for a morning walk at the Forest Walk at Telok Blangah Hill Park. This was the first time he visited and I think he enjoyed himself very much. Was a little grumpy initially because we dragged him up at 6:30am but once he warmed up, he was running all over the place.

He wasn't afraid of the height at all and was happily running on the
elevated metal walkway, which was as high as 18 meters above the ground!

A family of monkeys walked pass us, along the railings of the walkway. Mama was so worried as a few of them were so big and they didn't seem wary of the humans at all. We walked for about 1.5 hour before hitting Chinatown market for some old-school breakfast. Congee with fried bee hoon, yam cakes, you-tiao and soya bean drink. Yum..

For dinner, I prepared a tamagoyaki and shrimps bento for Jr.

I added a layer of tomato puree for the Tamagoyaki. I think it makes the Tamagoyaki so much prettier and it's also a way to 'trick' Jr into eating his veg. On the side was fried Choy Sum with garlic.

Steamed prawns with a slice of 'butterfly' cheese on each. The cheese are really just extra calcium that I try to add to his every meal. Since I don't use much (or any) seasoning for his food, so the cheese doubles as the saltiness in his meal.
