#76 Good Morning!

Another quick and easy wholemeal bread sandwich for Jr. "Sunflowers" are jam and cheese sandwiches and the cut-out center portion were used for the flower buds which has peanut butter filling. Today, instead of using orange wedges (seen in previous post), I used grapes for leaves. Don't think sunflower leaves are ever purple but aren't purple leaves simply so gorgeous?

#69 G'd Morning, Lady Bug!

Been so busy and tired lately with freelance work that I haven't been posting much. I get comments all the time that I'm having the best of both worlds to be able to work from home and "watch" my baby grows. But nobody knows how tiring that can be, to have to juggle so many things everyday. Many also asked how I find time to prepare all these "cute" food for my kid. I wondered about this too and realised that I enjoy doing it because the result makes me happy. Just look at the photo of the flowers and beetle, don't they simply put a smile on your face?

Flowers are spread with marmalade thus giving the orangey faces. The beetle was cut from a mini Babybel cheese and seaweed used for details.

#67 Quick and Easy Peanut Butter Sandwiches

I realised I haven't been using my sandwich cutters for some times, so today, I made these cute animal sandwiches for Jr's breakfast. He doesn't like the nuts in peanut butter thus the most time-consuming part of preparation was trying to separate out the creamy part of the peanut butter from my bottle of extra-crunchy peanut butter! LOL

#40 Cow sandwich

Junior gets to watch TV for a little while in the morning, mostly it's either Hi-5 or Bubble Guppies. Recently we caught a children's art and craft programme called Cows n Crayons. The half-hour programme stars a botak (bald) Norwegian cartoonist, Einstein, who is very creative and can draw really well. In the show, he used only a knife to cut out a very cute image of a cow out of a wheel of cheese. 


This morning, I tried to do the same but using a slice of milk bread. The result is not as cute as what he did but Junior didn't seems to mind. He went "Cow Cow!" and proceeded to chomp down the sandwich.
