PlayTime and Traders Hotel Puteri Harbour

Heard that Hello Kitty Land in JB gets pretty crowded during the weekends so we decided to stay a night at Traders Hotel, Puteri Harbour on Sunday and hit the theme park on Monday. We were so determined to avoid the crowd that we even made sure we go early on Monday.

Pro: No q for activities.

Cons: It was pretty lonely for the kids at the playground area.

Link bridge to our room. Mei mei was so happy that she started acting weird.

Beautiful view of the harbour from our Deluxe Harbour View Room.

The room is very spacious with a double bed, a daybed and a pull-out bed under the daybed. There is also space to put a baby cot.

First thing we did after checking in was to hit the rooftop pools! There are 3 altogether. The infinity pool that deepen at one end so it is not suitable for little kids to play in. A "salty pool" with jacuzzi and a shallow kiddy pool.

The kids were soooo thrilled but unfortunately... sky began to darken mere 5 min after we got into the water and soon it started to rain heavily  :(

Check out the view from the pool!

Since it was nearly dinner time, we changed and went out exploring the area for food and as the rain has stopped, we took a walk at the water front.

This ends our first day at Puteri Harbour.

On the second day, I thought the kids would wake up damn early because they knew we will be going to Little Big Club but nooooo, they slept so well on the comfy bed plus black-out curtain that I had to drag them out of bed.

Breakfast buffet at the hotel was fantastic. Wide varieties and lots of food suitable for kids.

After a hearty breakfast, it was PLAYTIME

The Little Big Club and Sanrio Hello Kitty Town

Best part of this theme park? It's indoor. Not that we are afraid of being under the sun but this is just.. more comfortable lah .. and no worries of rain.

First stop: Wishful Studio
Visitors can try jewelry making, costume dress up at the photo studio, DIY pin badge or decorate Hello Kitty shaped cookies at the cookie studio.

Cookie decoration is serious business!

Colouring on a piece of Hello kitty drawing for pin badge making.

Gor for helping to make the badges.

You can choose to dress up as Hello Kitty, My Melody or Badtz Badtz Maru. We took so long for this shoot because firstly Mei Mei refused to wear the costume, perhaps she thought it's weird. When finally we managed to persuade her to wear it, Gor Gor refused to wear the Badtz Badtz Maru costume! I tried telling him it's the only costume suitable for boy but he insisted it's ugly and he wanted to be the same as Mei Mei. OK. FINE! He wore the My Melody costume and I'm so keeping this pix to tease him when he's older. hahaha

After participating in all the activities in the Wishful Studio, we moved on to the rides and playgrounds!

Gor gor was the one who took pix with the mascot cos mei mei is terrified of them.

Mei mei loves the Hello Kitty princess bed.

We spent the longest in this play area.

The kids love shooting the rubber balls from all the "machine guns".

Gigantic size Hello Kitty bathtub.

Uber cute TV area at the Sanrio Shop

The hotel was very accommodating and extended the check-out time to 3pm when I explained we might need more time at the Themepark.

The stay at Traders Hotel was really comfortable and food was good too. The location is not too far from Singapore. Definitely coming back again.
