Junior loves looking at pictures of animals, especially the big wild ones like lion, elephant, hippo and rhino. I'm trying to help him recognise more animals so this morning I made this giraffe sandwich for him using corn bread, cheese and nori. Seeing it's kinda plain, I decided to add a tree next to it so it looks like the giraffe is eating leaves. Then I remembered that I'm teaching Junior about fruits too, so I did an apple tree! But do giraffes eat apples?

This one nearly choke on it.
So giraffes do eat apples. In fact, giraffes that are kept in captivity are often fed alfalfa hay, fruits and vegetables such as bananas, carrots and apples.
